Logo File Types Explained

When your new logo lands in your hands, the amount of files might feel overwhelming. .AI, .SVG, .EPS, .PDF, .PNG, .JPG — they all carry a purpose in your brand’s visual story.

At Studio Baroquee, we believe a well-crafted identity deserves to live beautifully across every platform. That’s why our logo suite comes with a curated set of files, designed for clarity, scale, and adaptability. Here’s what each one means, and how to use them throughout your brand.

The Vector Files

Formats: .AI, .EPS, .SVG, .PDF

These are your master files known as vector files which can scale infinitely without losing quality. That means your logo looks just as sharp on a billboard as it does on your business card.

  • .AI (Adobe Illustrator): The source file — editable, flexible, and the one designers will always keep close.

  • .EPS: The industry standard for printers and signage makers. It’s your safe, shareable version of the vector.

  • .SVG: Ideal for web and digital use — think websites, apps, or responsive logos that need to scale perfectly online.

  • .PDF: A universal file that’s easy to view and print while still retaining vector quality.

The Raster Files

Formats: .PNG, .JPG

These are your files for everyday use. The versions you’ll upload and share the most.

  • .PNG: With the option of a transparent background and a high-quality resolution, these are great for digital use on social media, websites, ect.

  • .JPG (or JPEG): For websites, this file type is perfect when transparency isn’t required, as they are flattened, and smaller in file size.

Why You Need Them All

Each file type serves a unique purpose in your brands architecture. Without the full set, you risk distortion, poor printing, or mismatched colours.

  • For designers: They’ll need the vector to make edits or adapt your logo for new applications.

  • For printers: They’ll ask for EPS or PDF files to ensure perfect quality.

  • For you: Having all versions means you’re never limited by format — your brand can live anywhere, beautifully.

A Note on Organisation

When we deliver your final logo suite, you’ll find neatly labeled folders — usually split by file type, colour version and use case. It’s our way of making sure your brand feels effortless from day one.

At Studio Baroquee, we don’t just design logos. We build brands that move seamlessly between screens, paper, and beyond.
